UPI Transactions Hit by Technical Glitches, Insight Kashmir Reports
In the digital age, the convenience of one-click payments via UPI has become integral to our daily lives. However, users encountered hurdles on February 6 as several transactions failed to process smoothly. As reported by Insight Kashmir (insightkashmir.com), the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) addressed the issue, shedding light on the underlying technical challenges.
Users of popular UPI apps such as Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, and Bhim experienced difficulties completing transactions despite repeated attempts. NPCI clarified that the root cause lay not with UPI itself but with certain banks’ server glitches. Internal technical issues within these banks disrupted the seamless flow of UPI transactions, affecting a significant number of customers, particularly those banking with major institutions like State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, and Bank of Baroda.
NPCI assured users that efforts were underway to resolve the matter in collaboration with the affected banks. To mitigate such inconveniences in the future, Insight Kashmir suggests some precautionary measures:
- Multiple Linked Accounts: If your UPI ID is linked to more than one account, leverage this feature to ensure uninterrupted transactions. In the event of one bank’s server outage, you can seamlessly switch to another linked account, avoiding payment failures.
- Verify Recipient Details: Prior to transferring funds, meticulously verify the recipient’s information. Any discrepancies in the details can lead to transaction failures. Always double-check before initiating payments.
- Stable Internet Connection: A stable internet connection is paramount for successful UPI transactions. Ensure your internet connectivity is robust before proceeding with payments to prevent any potential disruptions.
By adhering to these guidelines, users can navigate through occasional technical hiccups and enjoy the convenience of UPI transactions with greater assurance. Stay informed with Insight Kashmir for the latest updates and insights on digital payment solutions.
