Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education Extends Deadline for Exam Form Submission
Srinagar, Feb. 15 (InsightKashmir.com): In response to the persistent requests from students and parents, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has announced an extension of the deadline for submission of exam forms for classes 10, 11, and 12. The new deadline is now set for February 15, 2024. This marks the second extension of the deadline, originally slated for December 23, 2023, and previously extended to January 27, 2024.
JKBOSE officials stated that the decision to prolong the deadline was made in consideration of the challenges faced by students amidst the ongoing situation in the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
The prevailing circumstances in the region, characterized by civil unrest since August 5, 2019, following the revocation of the region’s special status, have significantly impacted the academic environment. The abrogation of Article 370 and 35A has sparked protests and unrest, particularly in the Kashmir Valley.
The extension of the exam form submission deadline comes as a welcome relief for students across Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. The tumultuous situation has hindered their ability to concentrate on studies and adequately prepare for examinations. This extended timeline offers students additional time to focus on their academic preparations amidst the challenging circumstances.
