Government of Jammu and Kashmir Announces Creation of 1612 Posts for New Medical Colleges
In a significant development aimed at bolstering healthcare infrastructure in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, the Government has sanctioned the creation of 1612 posts for the establishment of two new medical colleges. These colleges are set to be situated at Handwara (Kupwara) and Udhampur.
The decision, outlined in Government Order No: 307-JK(HME) of 2022 dated May 18, 2022, underscores the administration’s commitment to enhancing medical education and accessibility to quality healthcare services across the region.
